About the Project
Located between Rochdale and Oldham Roads in South Collyhurst, this 5.5-hectare site is set for a suburban transformation. Addressing issues like low retail activity, lack of community spaces, and safety concerns, the proposal envisions a vibrant high street with mixed-use buildings. Ground floors will feature lively retail spaces, while flexible office areas and diverse residential units, including apartments and penthouses, rise above. Varied building heights will create a dynamic skyline.
Pedestrian-friendly pathways and landscaped areas will enhance walkability and safety, fostering community interaction. Plazas and green spaces will provide venues for gatherings and recreation. Sustainability is key, with green roofs, renewable energy, and efficient materials reducing the environmental footprint.
Improved connectivity and proximity to public transport will lower pollution and carbon emissions. This proposal aims to rejuvenate South Collyhurst, creating a thriving, sustainable suburban hub with a strong sense of community.
