Swarn Jewellers
About the Project
Swarn Jewellers is a retail jewelry store located in Panchkula, Haryana, India, designed by the architectural firm Studio Ardete. Completed in 2018, the store spans approximately 200 square meters and embodies the concept of "The Gold Standard," emphasizing exclusivity and uniqueness.
The design features a linear layout with black and gold tones to create a royal aesthetic. The entrance is adorned with a cluster of star-like elements, symbolizing the store's diverse and unique offerings. Inside, the ground floor showcases walls with quilted niches framed in gold, highlighting individual designer pieces. A black vinyl backdrop with backlit punctures simulates a "rain of gold," enhancing the luxurious atmosphere. A reflective stretch ceiling further accentuates the store's verticality.
The basement continues this opulent theme with jewelry displayed on pedestals encased in glass, evoking a sense of exclusivity. Suspended golden metallic frames create a rhythmic composition, drawing attention to the exquisite pieces. Dark ceiling shades and black reflective mirrors subtly emphasize the prominence of the gold jewelry on display.
Studio Ardete, founded in 2010 by Badrinath Kaleru and Prerna Kaleru, is based in Chandigarh, India. The firm focuses on designing spaces that evolve into art, enriching the lives of their inhabitants.
